A big misconception is that interior design has to be expensive. It can be, but doesn't always have to be. I do a wide range of design jobs. All of them vary in style, budget, and time line. One of the many reasons I love Interior Deign is because of the ability to stretch and grow myself all while building relationships. Most of my days involve indepth product sourcing or on site shopping. While this can seem fun (and it mostly is), it is WORK. I strive to seek out the best product for the best price with the best reviews for my clients. I never want someone to spend so much for my services that it takes away from the budget they can then spend on their home.
When you look at your space, make a list. Decide what you want to achieve in that space. Are you looking to update? Declutter? Change your syle? Make the space more functional? Make it a focal point? The list goes on... The point being, when you know what you want to achieve, we can then focus on a plan and then create a budget that is realistic and reasonable. You will find that the big box stores, while they have quality, do not always have the best price (also, you do not want your space to look like everyone else's). Make sure you get familiar with your local boutiques and furniture stores. They have more control over their products and prices and will more than likely be able to work with your budget. Also, shop around! Several stores like Home Goods, TJMaxx, and Marshalls get new shipments at least once a week. Go often and ask when they put out new shipments. I also have several online decor stores that I know have quality products and a great collection. If you are looking to update but maybe are not looking to break the bank, reach out to me! No amount is too small. We will make it work and stretch your dollar!
